Environmental Illnesses

Environmental Illnesses

There are many types of environmental illnesses, which are explained in this section: allergies, chemical sensitivities, electromagnetic field (EMF) sensitivities, heavy metal toxicity, hormonal imbalance, and mold exposure.

The symptoms for the problems listed above may vary. From runny noses, to brain fog, to neurological and emotional symptoms, to severe body pain and fatigue; environmental illness does not affect every person in the same way. Consequently, environmental illnesses can be difficult to treat using regular medicine. Environmental medicine aims to determine the underlying cause, rather than just treat the symptoms, so that the cause itself can be avoided and/or treated.
